We have recently been nominated as Best Local Activity for Gloucestershire and Oxfordshire!
Classes are held for children from 6 months to 4 years and their carers. They last for 45minutes with the first half an hour full of singing, movement, music and stories, whilst the last 15minutes is free play for the children with an array of musical instruments, and coffee and tea for the carers!
Each week Peggotty, the hen, (who lives in The Orange Hat, of course!) invites one of her friends to join in the fun. It could be Edison the rabbit, George the duck, or Orlando the monkey, who knows? That is for the
hat to know, and the children to find out! The children are invited in to a world of make believe where anything can happen - 'rat a tat tat, what's in the hat ?'
Classes are charged at £45 per term (£4.50 per class) and siblings can come along for free!

Class Testimonials
"The Orange Hat is unlike anything else that I have taken my 3-year-old daughter too. The classes are innovative, incredibly imaginative and the children cannot wait to see what is inside the hat, meet the characters and hear the songs and poems. Both my daughter and I look forward to our classes. I would highly recommend this to anyone with pre-school children."

The Orange Hat is a very popular addition to the sessions we offer at The Theatre, Chipping Norton and has enabled us to welcome much younger children into the building. Each session is carefully planned by Paula and the combination of puppets, original songs and old favourites is always greeted with enormous enthusiasm. The children arrive excitedly anticipating who is going to be ‘in The Orange Hat today.’ It is a lovely opportunity for carers to encourage their child’s confidence and social skills in a friendly group. I am so pleased that we run The Orange Hat at The Theatre.

"We love Peggotty! The Orange Hat is certainly a world that my son adores, and I have noticed a significant development in his confidence. Definite big thumbs up from us."
